Kanyakumari District (Tamil: கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டம்) is a district of Tamil Nadu state, India; it is the southernmost land area of mainland India.

 

Martyr Devasahayam Pillai-- ( 23April,1712—14January,1752 ) , An affluent 18th century Nair-convert to Christianity who was executed and attained Martyrdom at Kattadimalai, but was buried inside St. Xavier`s Cathedral Church, Kottar.
